As I have finished creating the resume video, I continue on to researching about the job position I want to apply to, which is a Video Editor. In creating my resume, I will need to be familiar about the requirements for this position hence why I will be doing this research.
For this research, I decided to search on a website that I have already signed up and created an account at, which is LinkedIn. I opened the website and continued to type Video Editor, into the search bar.
I decided to look into the company that appears on the very top and see the requirements needed, which can be seen below.
● Portfolio demonstrating confident use of the Adobe Creative Suite, predominantly focused on Premiere Pro & After Effects.
I do have a stable portfolio for this however, I do have little experience in Premiere Pro
● Demonstrated skills in video editing, including knowledge of pacing, timing, and storytelling techniques.
I do have experience in video editing and know the basics for timing and storytelling however, I do believe that I still lack the experience.
● Eagerness to learn and develop skills in the XR space, with a strong willingness to be trained on the job.
As I am not familiar with XR, this would allow me to gain more knowledge and help increase my skills for it.
● Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, effectively managing time and priorities.
I would believe that I have good time management skills however, it does depend on the specific projects I will receive and it's priority.
● Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
Similarly, I would believe that I do have experience however, I do need to improve this skill.
● Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively in a team environment.
As I used to join a team sport, I am extremely confident in working in a team environment and positively interact with other people.
● Creativity and the ability to think innovatively to enhance XR experiences.
This is one skill that I am quite confident in and am willing to improve it for the XR learning experience.
After analysing the requirements needed for this position, I can conclude that I lack most requirements and experience needed to apply for this position. Nevertheless, I am still passionate about this position and will increase my experience throughout my courses as to meet the basic requirements for the position.
