Initial Research: Creating my Own Sequential Images

For the creation of my own set of sequential images, I took inspiration from the work of artist, Nanna Saarhelo, called Sleep With Me, Pihla.

This series of images consists of people who are sleeping in bed with the author of the work. According to (slfportraits, 2012), Saarhelo asks only one person at a time to be photographed with her and the camera is programmed to take a picture every 30 minutes. It is also said that the images include implications towards relationships between two people through a series of choreographies shared during the night, though at times the movements seem synchronized thought out. Instead, people find themselves in the world of dreams and it becomes difficult to see the personality of each person.
