Creating My Own Sequential Images

In this post, I will be discussing about the creation of my own sequential images.

I decided on the theme of tidying my bed in the morning. It may seem as a simple theme however, I wanted to convey the feeling of starting the new day with great productivity. According to (Block, 2021), people that tidy up their bed in the morning are more likely to be adventurous, confident, sociable and high-maintenance compared to people who do not tidy their beds in the morning.

I also wanted to convey the feeling that, even though tidying up your bed in the morning is such a simple task, it is already counted as one productive activity in your day. According to (Pattemore, 2022), people who suffer with depression find it hard to do simple tasks such as cleaning. This is caused by a feeling of hopelessness, low energy, and lack of motivation hence why, even if this simple task is done by them, they are already one step ahead in the right path.

I began by setting an angle in which I will capture the images from. Going back and forth between each take as I had to capture the image then continue tidying my bed to create the shots. I took the images using my Apple iPhone 13 with a Wide Camera at 26 mm. The ISO is 100 and in the format HEIF/HEIC therefore, I will have to convert it into a JPG format using an online converter.

Since I did not have access to Photoshop, I had to improvise and use a different method to create the contact sheets. I followed a method I found online from (http://hints.macworld.com). First, I open the file containing the images then second, I follow the keyboard shortcuts given [Press Command-A, Command-Option-Y, click the Index Sheet button, then press Command-Shift-3] and now I have made a 'rough' version of a contact sheet.

I was quite satisfied with how the images turned out as I did not use any professional equipments. Although it may seem as a small amount of pictures, I decided to decrease the chosen images for the final product to give off a simpler sequence. My following post will be the final result.
