UX Testing My Website

UX testing is an important factor when creating a website, it can help us improve the overall design and usability of our website from the feedback given by the users along with how satisfied they are with the experience in viewing my website. I have created a feedback form using Google Forms in which I will add on to the navigation bar on my website later on.

This is my feedback form I have created:

UX Testing and Feedback Form

I start by opening Google Forms from my Google Drive. I added the title 'UX Testing & Feedback Form' and created the first question. I then clicked on the right dropdown box and selected 'multiple choice' along with adding the answer choices. I then duplicated the question box using the duplication icon on the bottom right and changed the question to a new one. I proceeded to repeat the process until I have eight questions with multiple choices and then added two questions that required written answers for the feedback and what device they used.

I then decided to customise the form by clicking the paint palette on the right hand corner and chose an already provided picture by Google, which is an animated picture of a popcorn as it is related to films. I then also changed the colour theme by clicking from the colours provided that correspond with the image.

As this form is to be used for my website, I proceeded to add the form on to the navigation bar on my website as seen below.

I managed to receive 12 responses from my classmates and these are the feedbacks:

Most of the feedback thought the overall was excellent and some thought it was good which i am pretty satisfied with the answers though I believe I do still need to make improvements.

The feedbacks I had received thought the navigation were extremely helpful.

As seen above, more than half of the feedback I received thought that everything in the homepage worked well together - I am pleased with the results.

I do agree with half of the feedback as I have not changed the image I used in my 'About Me' page into a more professional image hence I understand why the feedback is divided.

I am quite confused on why the feedback is more on 'Good' however, I am hoping the they have added comments about it on the 'Any additional comments to add?' question so I can improve it.

Similarly, I am quite confused with the results for the feedback on my 'Contact page' however, I will look at the added comment section for help.

Along with the feedback on the social media links, I will look at the comment section to help out.

The majority of the feedback used a Computer to access my website therefore I would need more website testing on a mobile phone.

The comments I received are mostly positive about their overall experience with my website. However, the additional comments about the social media links, the placement of the description texts, and my image for the 'About Me' page will for sure help. I will consider every feedback I have received and implement it into my website to create a better version of it.
